Drachencup Stuttgart

The summer event in Stuttgart, Germany for you and your team. On july 20, 2024 with a big open air party directly at the Cannstatter Wasen. The Drachencup Stuttgart is now going into the 5th round and what we need is your team. Be there and experience an unforgettable summer day – exciting races, food yard and attractions for the whole family. Of course, like every year, with our legendary Open Air Party. What are you waiting for?

For your team at the Drachencup Stuttgart you need 14 – 16 riders and 1 drummer, the helmsman for your boat will be provided by us. Of course, a training session is included.

You can choose between the Open Cup (1), if your team has less than 6 paddling women on board, the Mix Cup (2), if you have at least 6 paddling women in your team or the School Cup (3), if all participants are students at general education schools or technical colleges.

Frequently asked questions

A team has at least 14, max. 16 paddlers and one drummer.

Don’t worry: a bigger team doesn’t necessarily mean you’re faster. It’s the balance that counts, not the power.

You can register for the Drachencup until may 15, 2023. If you do not have a complete team by this date, just contact us. We will surely find a solution.

Every amateur team that has time and desire may participate! In the past years, we have already experienced many teams that have come together in a colorful way or have been close friends for years. In the dragon boat this has made no difference.

Professional canoe, rowing and dragon sports clubs are welcome to participate in the Baden-Württemberg Championship. For reasons of fairness we want to separate the amateurs from the professionals – it’s more fun! You can find the registration for the Baden-Württemberg Championship HERE →

Companies, leisure groups, club teams or similar groups pay an amount of 300€ per team (that’s about 17,50€ per person). For this you get a training, the participation at the Drachencup incl. the Open Air Party and a great program. After the training you can of course have a barbecue and sit together with your team or have dinner in the club restaurant.

School teams as well as student groups pay a reduced amount of 180€ (that’s about 10€ per person), but of course get the same package.

YEAH! At the Open Air Party the day will be celebrated again. DJ, cocktails and a cool illuminated event area are waiting for you. Directly after the award ceremony, the band will turn up the amps. Of course, our foodyard is still ready for the hungry athletes. By the way, the entrance to the Open Air After Race Party is free for all participants. So keep the evening free as well.
